Vegan protien balls

One of the biggest issues that people are worried about when eating clean or eating mostly vegan in my case, is not getting enough protien. These vegan protien balls are packed full of protien.

On my avoid list you saw that we don’t do sugar. So what do we use for clean eating? I use agave nectar. Agave nectar has a low glycemic index so it will not spike blood sugar. I am not to worried about my kids blood sugar. So why use this making things for my kids? I use this because sugar can cause hormonal imbalances which causes behavior issues. Yes! Even in kids. How do you encourage your kids to eat a dessert without sugar? Get them in the kitchen.

My girls love helping in the kitchen. So what is in these amazing, healthy protien balls? I add a vegan protien powder. There is no limit to how much you can use. Next is dry oats. Mix those together. Make sure you can see the protien powder very clear in the oats, if you can’t see it very good add some more. Next is peanut butter or almond butter. First melt some vegan butter with the peanut butter or almond butter.  I love almond milk butter. Don’t put to much butter in, do a little at a time till you can stir the nut butter easly. Next is agave nectar. This is you have to estimate yourself. Depending on the brand if protien powder you buy it could have sugar or an alternative sweetener in it already, so you may not want to put any or very little in. Pour the nut butter mix and the agave nectar in the dry mix. Mix together till it gets to the right consistency. Then you can start rolling them into balls. That’s it! It’s super fun and easy. This is my family’s favorite go to protien snack. Place in refrigerator when you are done rolling. After they have been in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes you can put them in a bag. Making storage easy also.

That’s all there is to it. I hope you and your family enjoy these as much as my family does!
